Sunday, June 13

As of today, the Provincial Government has approved the return to a capacity of 15% of fire code for worship gatherings. We will be OPENING up our Churches again for Divine Liturgies starting with this Sunday's service in St. Paul (May 30). I am looking forward to greeting many of you again and with cautious hope, I look forward to a return to a normal service schedule in the near future.

Re: Provody - With the changes announced this past week, the Presidents and I have agreed to a change in our plans for Provody. There will be no grave blessings this weekend as we are still restricted to a limit of 10 people until June 1st. We have decided to move all the grave blessings to the weekend of June 5/6th as the limit of attendees at that time increases to 20. As this is the final weekend we are able to bless graves, I will be sending out a schedule early next week and I plan to bless all graves over the course of the weekend. Even with the increase to 20, that still is not many people that are permitted to be present, as such we are asking those that live outside our communities to please consider allowing us to bless their loved ones graves without them for this year. Those that wish to be in attendance will be able to contact their parish’s contact person to confirm their attendance at the grave blessing service.

*No Kolachi will be needed for the blessing of graves this year.

**If more than 20 people arrive, all attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles.

***If the the limit of 20 people is not respected, in an effort to not bring any liability against our parishes or volunteer executive members, Fr. Peter will leave and bless the graves privately at an unannounced time.

We are a Ukrainian Orthodox facility located in
St. Paul, Alberta. We consist of a Church which is part of the Bonnyville & Area District of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, and our Cultural Centre which hosts many local events - both public and private.

We are known affectionately by locals as 'the Garlic Dome' thanks in part to the beautiful and traditional domes that adorn our building, and also due to the popular and delicious home cooking of our catering team.
